5 Die In Illinois Van Crash On Way To Philly

A deadly van accident is the reason that state police in Illinois are on a search for answers.

The accident, which happened Monday near Vandalia, was a result of the driver losing control of the van. It veered of the freeway and then flipping over several times.

California was the starting point of the van's journey- and the group was heading home to Philadelphia when the accident occurred. Five people were killed and six were injured. Three of those victims have been identified- but the names have not been released.

The driver of the van has been ticketed.
