Philadelphia Police have released surveillance video hoping that someone will recognize the suspect wanted in a fatal stabbing.
At 5:09 AM, on April 16, police were called out to the 400 block of Vollmer Street for reports of a person with a weapon.
When police arrived on scene, they found a 68-year old man who was stabbed multiple times in the front area of his residence at The Whitman. He died as a result of his injuries.
The suspect was seen on surveillance video walking on the 2700 block of South Randolph Street.
The suspect is described as a Black or Spanish male, 5'8", facial hair or goatee, thin build, wearing dark colored pants, dark colored jacket, black knit hat and black Chuck Taylor sneakers.
If you see this suspect do not approach him, contact 911 immediately.
Rain arrives for the second half of the work week. Another fall-like blast of cool weather to follow for the weekend.
Scattered showers are possible tonight as a cold front approaches the area. Otherwise, the best chance for rain will be Thursday afternoon and night where we'll see on and off showers and thunderstorms.
Clouds and showers linger though much of Friday. We may still see a passing shower Saturday. Unseasonably cool air returns this weekend where both days only see high temps in the mid 70s with many of us falling into the 50s at night.
