Childhood mental health disorders on the rise

Posted: Updated:

A CDC study found about 20-percent of kids under 18 experiences a mental health disorder each year - and that the rate is still on the rise.

Only about 21-percent of affected children get treatment because of a shortage of pediatric sub-specialists and child and adolescent psychiatrists.

Childhood mental disorders can change the way children learn, behave and cope with emotions.
