JOHNS CREEK, Ga. -

Police say a Johns Creek man was so scared to tell his parents about a failing a college class that he faked his own kidnapping.

Investigators say 19-year-old Aftab Aslam made up a story about being kidnapped last month.

He reportedly didn't want to tell his mom and dad that he was failing a class at Georgia Gwinnett College.

Police say he camped out for several days in Forsyth County.

Aslam is facing several charges.
