Prince George's County police say a Laurel man shot and killed his wife and his adult step-daughter.

Police say 59-year-old Ronnie Lee Rainey called 911 around 10 a.m. Monday to say he had killed relatives and he then threatened to kill himself. Police say the man shot at his teenage soon, but the boy was able to escape unharmed.

Police identified the victims as 50-year-old Lisa Renee Rainey and 27-year-old Ariale Chantre Shelton.

The man barricaded himself inside the home on Malcolm Drive, but police say officers on the scene and 911 dispatchers were able to convince him to surrender. Police say another man was in the house and was unharmed.

Police say Rainey faces charges of first-degree murder and attempted murder.
