Chicago firefighter killed in motorcycle accident downstate

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

A Chicago firefighter/paramedic was killed in a traffic accident in downstate Illinois Thursday.

The Chicago Fire Department identified the crash victim as Sean Sloe, assigned to Truck 55.

Sloe was riding a motorcycle on the I-55 entrance ramp southbound when he hit two semi-trucks. The drivers of the other vehicles were not injured.

The crash is under investigation. No charges have been filed as of Thursday evening.

Sloe's brother is on the Springfield Illinois Fire Department.

Funeral arrangements for Sean Sloe are pending, according to the fire department's Twitter account.
