Police have made a third arrest in the shooting of two young children in southwest Atlanta. Officers charged 23-year-old Marquez Thomas with felony murder and aggravated assault.
Police say 2-year-old Ty-teyanna Motley was killed and her 1-year-old brother Isaiah was critically injured at their home on Polar Rock Place last November. Police say the little ones were sleeping with their grandmother when the two suspects shot through the front door in the middle of the night.
Police charged Montez Thompkins and Jeremy Thompkins with felony murder in the case last week. They have a court appearance set for May 9.
