Lawmakers concerned Syria chemical weapons could pose threat against US

Posted: Updated:
WASHINGTON -

U.S. lawmakers are concerned chemical weapons in Syria could pose a threat here at home.

Sunday on CBS’s "Face The Nation," Senator Lindsey Graham warned, quote, "the next bomb that goes off in America may not have nails and glass."

Graham was referring to the Boston Marathon attacks and the fact that the Syrian government likely used Sarin gas on rebel forces last month.

He and fellow republican senator John McCain both agree that the U.S. should not send troops to Syria but that international forces should be sent in to protect the chemical weapons.
