W.T. Woodson High School mourns death of third student this school year

FAIRFAX, Va. -

Three students have died unexpectedly at W.T. Woodson High School in Fairfax this year. The most recent was a 17-year-old junior who died Tuesday evening.

Police sources tell us Ethan Griffith jumped off a garage at Northern Virginia Community College in Annandale.

Fellow students wore his favorite color, orange, to classes Thursday in his memory. Griffith ran track and classmates say he was cheerful and always seemed upbeat.

School officials have sent counselors, psychologists and social workers to help students and staffers deal with the grief.

It has been a difficult year for them. In October, senior Bryan Glenn, a kicker on the football team, was found hanged in a local park. In August, the track team's Cameron Kilby died unexpectedly.
