Police in Camden say they have arrested a 25-year-old Collingswood man who is accused of making a series of calls that reported phony bombs and shootings in city buildings Thursday morning.
According to police Alon Adams was arrested Thursday at his Collingswood home. He faces six counts of Creating A False Public Alarm, a 3rd degree offense.
According to investigators, Adams allegedly called the county prosecutor's office and the police 911 system, claiming there were bombs in public buildings and that shots were fired in others. Police say there was no evidence to suggest the threats were real.
The calls were placed between 7:48 a.m. and 9:29 a.m. Investigators say he made the calls from his personal phone.
Adams was identified after a caller ID captured his phone number, according to police.
Police say the buildings where the threats were reported have all been deemed safe.
