COLLINGDALE, Pa. -

A Delaware County family thought their mother left for a weekend with friends. But her friends say she never showed up.

Now, police are helping in the search for 31-year-old Melissa Rodriguez.

No one has talked to her since Friday.

That's when police say the Collingdale mom told her husband, from whom she's separated, that she was going to stay for the weekend with friends in Newark, N.J.

Those friends say she never made it.

Text messages sent to Rodriguez were never returned, she failed to show for a new job, and she didn't pick up her children from school on Monday. A missing persons report was filed later that day.

Police said she's described as a Hispanic female, 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 130 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, wearing a yellow flowered dress and glasses.

If you have any information, call police.
