Anthony Weiner: more photos could surface

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Until the lewd photos from his Twitter account became public, Anthony Weiner spent his entire adult life in politics. Now it sounds like he has a carefully orchestrated plan to return to politics in the race for mayor of New York City. But the Twitter scandal is still here.

Weiner conducted a half-dozen 15-minute television interviews at the office of a big law film in a Midtown Manhattan high-rise.

In 2011 he sent out pictures of himself in varying degrees of undress to young women and 45,000 of his Twitter followers. He lied about it and then resigned from Congress when more Twitter photos came out.

Weiner said he wasn't thinking when he had suggestive online conversations with women over the course of a few years. He called it a "dumb thing" that he did. He also said that he can't promise that more photos and allegations won't surface.

Weiner hopes to use technology and communicate directly to voters. He has started another Twitter account and has come up with and put online a 64-point plan for New York called "Keys to the City." He wants to keep police stop and frisk but control it more. He wants to discipline bad students quicker but does not address charter schools.

He said he is thinking about running for mayor but hasn't decided yet. He said he knows he has to make an announcement soon.

Experts say he is a long shot for mayor, but experts have been wrong.
