ATLANTA -

Atlanta school officials say an elementary school was evacuated due to a fire in a kindergarten bathroom on Wednesday.

An official with Atlanta Public Schools says someone set a roll of toilet paper on fire, and that set off the sprinklers at Continental Colony Elementary School on Hogan Road. The school was evacuated for a short time, and parents were notified of the situation as fire crews extinguished the blaze.

Officials say students and faculty have been allowed back into the school, but the students will remain in the auditorium and gymnasium for the rest of the day.

According to officials, CRCT testing was scheduled to take place on Wednesday but they will resume on Thursday.

The incident is under investigation. There were no injuries, said school officials.
