NEWARK, Del. -

An Avondale, Pa. man was arrested in connection to several indecent exposure incidents in the Newark area, police announced Monday.

According to investigators with the Newark and University of Delaware police departments, 39-year-old Jason Grubbs was taken into custody in connection to the cases.

The indecent exposure incidents go back to June 2011. Police say Grubbs is linked to at least 16 incidents, with the most recent in October. In that case, investigators say the suspect was seen without clothes by a 19-year-old woman.

Police say Grubbs was arrested Saturday night after officers responded to a report of indecent exposure near the university's campus. Two women reported seeing a man who was naked in the area of Beverly Road near Sunset Road. According to police, the women said the man was outside without pants and was seen slapping his buttocks.

Police say the man left the area, but was spotted by a Newark police officer nearby.

Grubbs faces 13 counts of Indecent Exposure in the 2nd Degree, police said.
