Loudoun County family held hostage during home invasion

Posted: Updated:

It was a scary stick-up in a location where you would least expect it. The Loudoun County’s Sheriff Office says four suspects broke into a house on Loyalty Road in the Taylorstown area around 10 a.m. brandishing a weapon.

Sheriff Michael Chapman says the suspects held the homeowner and his wife, a daughter and her two toddlers against their will for about an hour as they rummaged through the house and escaped with computers, jewelry, cell phones and other items.

The suspects made their getaway in a car, but not before slashing the tires of the two cars parked in the homeowner's driveway.

One family member was able to break free and go to a neighbor's to summon help.

Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious or knows something about the case is asked to contact the Loudoun County Sheriff's office at 703-777-1021. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
