Flags lowered at U.S. Capitol in honor of Boston Marathon victims

Posted: Updated:
WASHINGTON -

Flags at the U.S. Capitol are at half staff Tuesday in honor of the victims of the Boston Marathon attack.

On Capitol Hill, police are advising members of congress and their staff to be on guard.

Capitol Police say to expect increased security checks and tighter security overall.

They say it's a "proactive response" to what happened in Boston and not due to any specific threat.
