SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -

Ken and Kelley Kozloff of Ann Arbor had gone to Boston with the Motor City Striders, a local running club -- he was there for support, and she was competing in the race.

When Kelley finished the race, Ken met her at the finish line and the two headed to a runner recovery tent. They were resting for about half an hour when they heard two explosions.

"It sounded like cannons going off," Ken Kozloff said. He says the blasts were about ten seconds apart and when they went off, everyone in the tent froze.

When the Kozloffs looked outside, they could see two black plumes of smoke rising. Officials told them to stay put. Once they received clearance to leave, The Kozloffs made their way to the nearby apartment they were staying in. They were not injured.

You can hear the rest of Ken Kozloff's account of the blasts in the video above.
