Police say they arrested a 30-year-old man who hit a bicyclist with his car and drove away on March 9.

Christopher Forrest was arrested on Wednesday afternoon in connection to a hit-and-run that killed 47-year-old Angel Hernandez-Sotelo.

Hernandez-Sotelo was riding his bicycle near 7th Street and Roeser when he was hit by a Ford Taurus.

Forrest allegedly parked the rented Ford at a nearby liquor store and fled the scene.

Police say a second vehicle struck Hernandez-Sotelo and also fled the scene. There is no description for the second vehicle.

Forrest was identified and booked into jail Wednesday on charges of leaving a fatal traffic collision.
