Dog Tied To Train Tracks Saved Just In Time

Posted: Updated:

(FOX 11) A man tied a dog to some train tracks, then walked away. Fortunately, a train engineer spotted the little guy and stopped before hitting him.

"Banjo," the ten-month old poodle-terrier mix, was tied to tracks near the Riverside County community of Mecca. He's doing fine at the Coachella Valley Animal Shelter.

Police arrested the 78-year-old man who tied him to the tracks, but released him after they determined he's suffering from senility.

The dog is available for adoption.
