Tripp Halstead has gall bladder removed

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA -

Tripp Halstead is out of surgery and doing well after having his gall bladder removed on Friday, according to the family.

The Winder 2-year-old went home last week, but he was rushed back to the hospital on Monday.

Doctors told the family that he'll be in pain for a few weeks from Friday's incision.

Tripp has been recovering from a brain injury since October when a falling tree limb hit him outside his Winder day care.
