Candlelight vigil will mark 45th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.'s assassination

WASHINGTON -

A candlelight vigil will be held Thursday night at the Martin Luther King Memorial, marking 45 years since Dr. Martin Luther King, Junior was assassinated.

Dr. King was killed on April 4th, 1968, on a hotel balcony in Memphis.

The memorial begins at 7:00 p.m. at the Martin Luther King Memorial on Independence Drive, at the intersection with West Basin Drive.
