Braves take on Phillies on Opening Day

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA -

It's baseball fever in Atlanta as the Braves get ready to hit the field for Opening Day. The Braves kick off the 2013 season Monday night at Turner Field against the Philadelphia Phillies, and a host of festivities are planned for the game!

Crews are hard at work putting the finishing touches at the ballpark, and expectations are great for the 2013 Atlanta Braves. FOX 5's Kaitlyn Pratt reports that the game is a sell out.

The Georgia Turn True Blue Marching Band is tuning up for the Tomahawk Chop, and former Atlanta Braves 3B Chipper Jones will be throwing out the first pitch for tonight's game.

Stadium officials say the gates will open 2.5 hours before the start of the game. The first pitch is set for 7:10 p.m.
