Ask Tony & Tucker: snow reflection

Posted: Updated:

Our Ask Tony and Tucker question was sent in after Monday's snowfall. The viewer writes, "At 3:30 am I took the dogs out to the backyard and was amazed at how light it was outside simply because of the white snow on the ground. I could see the winter wonderland from one end of the farm to the other, every tree, bush, building in front of me, and a quarter mile away it was just as clear. It looked like the sun was up. I had to shine a flashlight upward just to tell it was snowing hard because the sky was so dark. It's clearly light reflecting off the snow, but what light is there to reflect at 3:30 am?”
