Student facing punishment for making false threat at school

Posted: Updated:
TEMPE, Ariz. -

Administrators at Tempe's Marcos de Niza High School sent home letters to parents Tuesday regarding a threatening message found on campus.

The possible threat was scribbled in one of the bathrooms on Monday, and Tempe Police were called in to investigate. They searched the campus, but nothing suspicious was found.

The school has since identified the student who wrote the message, which was apparently a hoax.

That student is facing punishment.
