Home Depot workers help renovate shelter for homeless vets

SMYRNA, Ga. -

A group of Home Depot workers volunteered their time on Monday to dramatically transform a housing facility for homeless veterans. They renovated the 7 Bridges to Recovery Center in Smyrna.

Volunteers painted dorms, installed blinds and flooring and made improvements to the outside of the building.

Their goal is to make it seem more like home for those without a place to live otherwise.

The volunteers were from Team Depot, the store support center's human resources department, and they say they enjoy giving back to local communities
