Earlier Friday, Stacy Halstead told FOX 5 she was very upset about the situation because she counts on support from their Facebook community to get through the day. The Tripp Halstead Updates page has more than 340,000 likes. Since the accident, his parents have used the page to tell Tripp's supporters what they're going through and provide constant updates on his condition.
Stacy also said Tripp had a rough night on Thursday, and he had a CT scan on Friday. According to a text she sent Shaw just before noon, "His shunt isn't working properly so they took excess fluid off his brain a few minutes ago and going to watch and see if the storming stops. Might mean another surgery!!!"
