Satan causes controversy for History Channel's 'The Bible' - DC Breaking Local News Weather Sports FOX 5 WTTG

There's some controversy for the History Channel series, The Bible, and it's because of the actor who plays the role of Satan.

According to the Daily Mail, social media went into overdrive with comments about the actor who plays the devil – Moroccan Mehdi Ouzanni – and his similarity to President Barack Obama. They say commentator and radio host Glenn Beck first pointed out the spooky resemblance.

The executive producers of the series call the comment "nonsense." They say the actor has previously played similar roles in bible epics long before Obama was elected.

Time will tell if the History Channel will feel any backlash from its casting decision.
