HYATTSVILLE, Md. -

Hyattsville Police are trying to sort out a wild, shoot-em-up at a Shell service station overnight in the 5300 block of Queens Chapel Road. One man was shot in the stomach and buttocks, and a woman bystander was apparently hit by a stray bullet.

Police believe two groups of people drove up in separate cars. As one group headed towards the station's mini-mart, 19 shots were fired from the suspect vehicle. Police say the injured woman was struck in the hand and her lips may have been grazed by a bullet. She managed to drive herself to the hospital. Police don't know what the motive for the shooting was. They are reviewing surveillance video from gas station cameras.
