One dog left at emergency shelter set up after Superstorm Sandy

MINEOLA, N.Y. -

Bruno still can't go home after Superstorm Sandy.

He's an adult Rottweiler, the last remaining animal at a Long Island, New York emergency pet shelter opened after the storm.

The Nassau County SPCA is looking for a new home for Bruno.

Newsday reports his owner had to find work out of state and couldn't bring Bruno with him.

The emergency shelter is closing next week.

The SPCA website describes him as "a good, intelligent Rottie who walks well and would do good with somebody who truly understands the breed as he has his stubborn moments."
