CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -
There's a breakfast cereal you will not find in the Cheerios aisle: an adult-themed cereal called "SexCereal."
Invented by an entrepreneur in Canada, it markets itself as "the world's most passionate cereal" and it's said to be specially formulated for sexual health.
There are separate batches for men and women with exotic ingredients said to support testosterone and hormonal balance.
"SexCereal" for men has--among other things--bee pollen, which supposedly supports sperm count, endurance, and sex drive. Black sesame is said to contain magnesium which promotes relaxation, strength and endurance. Camu camu has a berry that's rich in vitamin-c and linked to improved vascular function and boosting testosterone.
"SexCereal" for women has cacao nibs that supposedly, "sooth nerves, making us feel open and receptive." Chia seeds are said to have fatty-acids that are the major building blocks of the female sex hormones. Maca, the cereal says, is known in Peruvian folklore to deliver energy and mental clarity, and enhance sex drives.
Several of the ingredients are in both the men's and women's versions.
The cereal does not explicitly promise to improve your love life but it plays up the potential bedroom benefits of its ingredients. It costs about $10 a package.
