Amazon's Kindle Fire has Apple's attention. It's not a threat for the hard-core Apple people, but the casual tablet user may be lured into the lower Amazon price. Amazon also has a great interface for delivering music, movies and books to their tablets.

Amazon steps up the game again today by knocking $30 off their 8.9 inch Kindle Fire HD. This unit is one inch smaller than the iPad, but is now priced more than $200 less.
