Chicago police find 3 toddlers left alone in Back of the Yards home

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -
A Chicago police officer found three little kids home alone Monday morning with their mom nowhere in sight.
The cop stopped by the house on South Wood St. in the Back of the Yards neighborhood around 10 a.m. Friday morning. He was there to serve a summons on a 28-year-old woman who hadn't finished community service. She wasn't home, but her three kids were -- all by themselves.
DCFS took custody of a 4-year-old, 3-year-old and 1-year-old. The toddler had a black eye.
Chicago police said the home was a mess and did not have a refrigerator.
