CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -
About $10,000 worth of cell phones were discovered stolen early Monday from a store in the North Side Lincoln Park neighborhood.
Officers responded to Virgin Mobile in the 2500 block of North Clark Street after a burglary alarm sounded about 3 a.m., and found the back door had been forced open, police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli said.
About $10,000 worth of "high-end" cell phones, such as iPhones and Samsung Galaxy brands, were stolen, as well as a cash register drawer with about $200 in cash, Virgin Mobile district manager Edgar Cervera said.
No other electronics, including televisions, turntables or computers, were taken from the store, Cervera said.
