WASHINGTON -

Is it too early to talk about 2016? Jeb Bush's name is getting a lot of attention.

The Dow starts the week with a tough act to follow and the President continues what many are calling a charm offensive.

President Obama reaching out?  That's what the White House says as he plans to make a number of visits to Capitol Hill this week, meeting with Democrats and Republicans.

On March 27, the government is slated to run out of funding unless a new budget agreement takes place first.

The President had dinner last week with a select group of Republicans and lunch with House GOP budget guru Paul Ryan.

"I hope that this is sincere. We had a good, frank exchange.  But the truth will be in the come weeks as to whether or not it's a real sincere outreach to find common ground,"  said Ryan.

Will the Dow head even deeper into record territory this week?  After some positive job numbers last week, we're about to learn more about consumer sentiment -- an important driver of the economy.

And voter fatigue or not, Washington is already talking about 2016 and the race for the White House.

The Conservative Political Action Conference -- CPAC -- plays host to a number of potential players, including Florida Senator Marco Rubio, Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal and former Florida Governor Jeb Bush -- who has written a new book and just made the rounds of the Sunday morning talk shows.

"If I don't run I have a blessed life, I can continue to do what I'm doing right now, work on education reform and advocate the policies that I believe in and also live a private life and that decision will happen as I said later on," said Bush on "FOX News Sunday."

One possible contender who was not invited to the conservative conclave?  New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.
