HOCKESSIN, Del. -

A seventh grader is now the best speller in Delaware after winning the state's spelling bee, but she's not the only winner at her school.

Lillian Allingham loves to read, but thinks its the school plays that have given her the confidence to go 32 rounds to take home the trophy.

Her next step is to Washington D.C. to compete in the national competition.

But she's not the only winner at Sanford School in Hockessin.

On Wednesday night, 15-year-old Jordan McMillian took home another best in the state when she won Delaware's poetry out loud competition.

Now, she is headed to the poetry nationals, which are also in Washington D.C.

You can watch the story in the video above.
