Police issued an alert to businesses in the Gage Park neighborhood Sunday warning them of three robberies that have taken place in the last month.
In the robberies, the suspect goes into a store, displays or implies he has a handgun, and steals cash, the alert said.
The robberies occurred Feb. 12 about 1:20 p.m. in the 5000 block of South Archer Avenue, Feb. 27 about 6 p.m. in the 5000 block of South Pulaski Road, and March 1 about 6:50 p.m. in the 4000 block of West 55th Street, the alert said.
Police describe the suspect as a white man, between 30 and 55 years old, 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-11, and 150-180 pounds.
