ATLANTA -
A MARTA passenger and its driver were injured after a bus overturned in southwest Atlanta Sunday afternoon.
Fulton County police tell FOX 5 News that the bus struck a phone pole and a tree before overturning on Kimberly Road near Cascade Road.
A passenger was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. The driver refused transport.
Kimberly Road between Cascade Road and Melvin Drive was closed for a few hours while emergency crews worked to contain a fuel spill and clean up the roadway.
Officials believe mechanical issues are to blame for the bus veering off the roadway.
