Police Search For Driver Accused Of Striking Crossing Guard

GLOUCESTER CITY, N.J. -

Police in Gloucester City, New Jersey are looking for the driver of a black car who they say struck a school crossing guard Tuesday morning.

According to police, the car hit the guard in the area of Market and Joy street around 7:45 a.m.

Police say the guard was helping a truck driver with directions when the car passed the truck and hit the crossing guard, knocking her to the ground.

The crossing guard broke her foot and wrist.

Police say the driver may not have known they even struck the crossing guard.
