Mother allegedly drives drunk with 2 children in car

SURPRISE, Ariz. -

Police say a 32-year-old mother was arrested for driving drunk with her two children in the car on Feb. 21.

Miranda Jean Cummins allegedly crashed her car into a sign near Santa Fe Drive and Nash Street, with her 12-year-old and 14-year-old kids in the car with her.

Police say Cummins had blood shot, water eyes and smelled like alcohol. She allegedly admitted to drinking two beers.

Cummins had a BAC of .240/.238 and officers found empty beer cans under the seat of her car.

She was arrested and faces charges of one count of aggravated DUI with a passenger under 15.
