Schools propose teaching students sex education at age 5

Posted: Updated:

Some parents in Chicago are not happy after a proposal to teach sex-education to five-year-olds.

Public schools in the windy-city want kids in kindergarten to start learning about their anatomy, all living things that reproduce, and appropriate and inappropriate touching.

After fifth grade, teachers will discuss human reproduction, contraception, and abstinence.

Parents who are not comfortable with the new policy will be able to opt out.

A nearby county begins sex education at four years old.
