Photo of what appears to be the letter "A" scratched into the cheek of Kenneth Love, Junior's son.
Another photo shows what appears to be an "A" scratched into a hand.
WYANDOTTE, Mich. (WJBK) -
The photos are alarming and show scratch marks that appear to be in the shape of the letter "A" on an eleven-year-old autistic boy's cheek and hand and another mark on the back of his head.
His father showed us the blood stained clothes he said the boy was wearing when he came home from school on February 21.
"I put him on the bus myself. I dress him, I clothe him, I feed him, I do everything for him, and when he came back home he was injured," said Kenneth Love, Junior.
So Love said he went straight to the school, Lincoln Center in Wyandotte, demanding answers. He also called police. He said his son is unable to speak or write and can't communicate to explain what happened.
"They said it didn't happen on their watch," Love explained. "They said it had to have happened on the bus."
So Love talked to the bus driver and an aide, who said they don't know how it happened either.
Love has raised concerns about another aide, who works with his son during the school day. He said the boy has now been moved to another classroom.
"If there's an alleged act that may have happened in the school, I do believe that they should put the aide on administrative leave until this allegation can be investigated," Love said.
We called the school for comment, and the superintendent sent us a statement. It said, "Our preliminary investigation does not support the conclusion that staff or students violated the law or district policy. A thorough investigation will be conducted."
She went on to say the district places the highest priority on the education of students in an environment free from bullying, harassment and discrimination.
Love said he plans to get a lawyer and possibly take legal action.
