PHOENIX -

Crossroads of the West Gun Show returns to the Arizona State Fairgrounds this weekend and they're expecting more record setting crowds.

Labels on gun boxes say "banned under the proposed assault weapons bill, get one while you still can."

Bob Templeton, owner of the Crossroads of the West Gun Shows, says talk of gun control legislation has people showing up to gun shows in droves, fearful they soon won't be able to buy certain guns.

"The 100 million plus law abiding Americans are tired of being scapegoated for the tragedy at Sandy Hook and are feeling like the enemies of the 2nd amendment are attacking lawful gun ownership," says Templeton.

Templeton says they had a record 20,000 people at last month's gun show. People were lining up at that entrance sign as early as 5 a.m. to get their hands on hard-to-find guns and ammo. He says that line went all the way back to the end of the coliseum, and he expects the same kinds of crowds this weekend.

"Our crowds have been like that all over, we do shows in four states as you know."

And people are likely paying more now than what they paid for the same product just 6 months ago.

Templeton says the cost of ammo has increased 50 percent since the fall, and he says the price of certain guns like the AR-15 have gone up.

"Manufacturers are raising their prices and there's a limited supply in their pipeline."

Templeton says it's all about supply and demand.

"There's just a lot of people that are concerned about their 2nd amendment rights and their ability to own and use firearms lawfully in the future."

Crossroads of the West will be in Glendale next month then back at the state fairgrounds in April.
