ARDMORE, Pa. -

Thousands of dollars in Philadelphia Flyers season tickets were delivered to a home in Ardmore, but when the homeowner returned, the package with the tickets was gone.

Police say the package was too large to fit through the mail slot, so it was left in between a front door and a storm door.

Although police have not identified the owner of the stolen tickets, if the owner called the Wells Fargo Center, they may not end up being the victim of a theft after all.

Since all tickets include a barcode, lost or stolen tickets can be canceled or reissued, according to Comcast Spectacor.

Comcast Spectacor employees tell FOX 29 if a lost or stolen ticket is scanned, you could be turned away from the event.
