Sheriff uses Valentine's Day video as way to track down most wanted

Posted: Updated:

Queen Anne's County Sheriff Gary Hofman doesn't want to spend Valentine's Day alone. He wants his most wanted criminals to pay him a visit and is willing to cozy up to their special someone to get just that.

In a YouTube video posted on the department's website, Hofman sends a special message to the significant others of the most sought after suspects in his county.

A tip that leads to the arrest of one of the most wanted in the video is worth a beautiful bouquet of roses and a card with a personal greeting, says Hofman.

The video goes on to display photos of several women while the sheriff describes the crimes they are accused of.

"I'd really like to have Valentine's Day with these special Valentines. Remember, your tips about these Valentines are just between you and me," Hofman says while winking at the camera.
