Police looking for Conn. boy abducted by mother

Posted: Updated:

NORWICH, Conn. (AP) - Connecticut state police have issued a silver alert for a 4-year-old boy abducted by his mother in Norwich.

Norwich police say Yahquin Warren was abducted Wednesday morning by his mother, 35-year-old Keyett McDonald, and they may have headed to Queens, N.Y., where the boy's father lives. Authorities don't believe the boy is in danger.

Police say McDonald lost custody of the boy, who was in the care of his grandparents. State court records show McDonald has pending drug and motor vehicle cases and has a conviction for attempted larceny.

Yahquin is described as a black male about 3 feet tall and 37 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black jacket and a hat.

Anyone with information about McDonald and the boy are urged to call Norwich police.
