Icy roads cause delays after snow falls overnight - DC Breaking Local News Weather Sports FOX 5 WTTG

Some roads in the D.C. metro area were closed Thursday morning after overnight rain and snow created icy conditions for drivers.

Both Route 29 southbound at the Interstate 495 overpass and Route 355 southbound at Grosvenor Lane were temporarily closed.

Montgomery County Police were assisting divers on with detours on Route 355.

Salt trucks and road crews were on the scene trying to make the roads passable.
