CARTERSVILLE, Ga. -
A Walmart store in Bartow County at the center of a syringe scare is in the spotlight again. A man buying bird seed is the latest victim in more than a dozen incidents.
Bartow County deputies are investigating after an Adairsville man says he was jabbed by a needle after he stuck his hand into a bag of bird seed bought at the Cartersville Walmart.
Last year, 15 syringes were discovered in clothing at that same store in a matter of months. Two people were pricked by needles.
Authorities said that they don't believe this case is related since the package was sealed. They are working with the store to figure out when the bag came in and when it was placed on store shelves.
Investigators have not made any arrests in any of these cases.
A Walmart spokesperson did not return a request for comment from FOX 5.
