Heavy winds knocked down a tree onto a home in south Fulton County early Monday.
Marcus Comer said that his family was watching TV when they heard a cracking noise. Minutes later, a tree crashed through their roof.
Marcus rushed to protect his young son as limbs sat just feet away from his crib.
"I jumped on top of my 6-month-old son and covered him up because it was actually coming over above our heads," said Comer.
While the tree left a lot of damage to the home, no one inside was injured.
The biggest casualty of the weather for Marcus Comer was his nerves. He said that he refuses to think about how close his family came to not weathering the storm.
"I don't even want to think about that, not really. I really don't want to think about that," Comer said.
Comer wasn't the only one dealing with the aftermath of rough weather. The constant heavy rain around the area made this morning's commute a slick one, causing several accidents.
