Friday's Prep Star of the Week is All American football sensation Laquon Treadwell, a Crete Monee senior.
Laquon quite simply is the best high school wide receiver in the country. He's rated No. 1 by basically everybody.
He led the Warriors to their first ever state football championship last fall. Laquon caught 81 passes for 1,077 yards and 16 touchdowns for the season.
His total career reception yards rank him second in Illinois history. As a result, Laquon was recruited by all the major powers - including Notre Dame, Alabama and USC.
This past Wednesday, Laquon made it official. He signed his letter of intent to attend the University of Mississippi - better known as Ole Miss. Here he is, with his Ole Miss cap in place and proud mother Tammi looking on.
Laquon is considered by one recruiting website to be the fifth overall best college prospect in the country. Remember that name: Laquon Treadwell!
