NEW ORLEANS -
There could have been more of a backlash after the Super Bowl blackout.
Luckily for CBS, the game turned into a nail–biter.
The Baltimore Ravens were cruising along with a 28 – 6 lead over the San Francisco 49ers when the blackout occurred.
As the blackout stretched into its thirty-fourth minute, the attention being paid to the game by fans drifted.
After the power was restored, the 49ers made a comeback dash and kept the game close until the very end.
Both the Ravens and CBS were breathing a sigh of relief after a close finish which might mean some advertisers won't be demanding any money back.
